Established in a quiet borough in the Cidade Industrial de Curitiba, the Milton Muricy Hospital has as its main purpose the type of caring that seeks, above all, quality for its patients.

The hospital started its activities approximately 15 years ago. At the time, placement of patients was done only for clinical observation and ambulatory surgeries. However, the expansion of the hospital was part of an old dream that began to become reality in 1997. The project’s finally was concluded on May 2nd, 2005, resulting in a reference center in Curitiba attending 24 hours a day, a state of the art surgical center, maternity hospital, and adult and neo-natal ICUs.

Currently, it has 120 beds, including suites, apartments and infirmary, with clinical and surgical internments, a five-room surgical center, and a last-generation ICU for adults.

Control of hospital infection is an ongoing concern at the Milton Muricy Hospital. For this reason, a special commission, made up by infectologist doctors, nurses and nutritionists, who supervise all the hospital’s areas, analyzing and eliminating risk factors and launching awareness campaigns. Thanks to the implementation of this commission, nowadays the Milton Muricy Hospital is one of the hospitals with the smallest rates of hospital infection.
